Steve Loughran, VP, Engineering

Mr. Loughran brings over 20 years of experience in development of RF systems and subsystems. He has held various engineering, functional management and project management positions for large and mid-sized companies in the wireless and telecommunications markets.  Most recently, Mr. Loughran led a wireless engineering design group responsible for advanced product development of a smart antenna system for WLAN application and a low-cost cellular modem for M2M applications. Previously, Mr. Loughran worked as team project lead on a variety of advanced technology communications projects including fixed wireless MMDS systems, OFDM modems, as well as defense industry Microwave and Millimeter-wave RF front ends for radar systems.

Mr. Loughran earned a BSEE from Marquette University and MSEE from the University of Southern California. His engineering experience has ranged from systems architecture and specification through RF circuit design and into system test processes and procedures. His management experience has consisted of functional management and programmatic leadership on numerous product development teams with hardware, software, mechanical, and validation resources as well providing primary interface responsibility with customers. Mr. Loughran holds numerous RF design patents.
